Your Cycle is Your Superpower
I used to think I needed to feel the same every single day. Same energy, same motivation, same output, same workout, same pace. And honestly, that has never really worked for me.
Over the past few years, I have really leaned into wellness and taking good care of myself. Not in a perfect, rigid, do everything right kind of way, but in a way that feels more honest and sustainable. I have been learning more and more about cycle syncing through Alisa Vitti, and I am so glad it is becoming a much bigger conversation. She just launched a new podcast this week called The Ovary Club with Alisa Vitti, which feels like perfect timing because this is a conversation so many of us need more of.
Learning about cycle syncing has completely shifted the way I think about my body, my work, and my energy. The more I understand it, the more I realize we are meant to move in seasons. Our focus shifts. Our energy shifts. Our bodies ask for different things at different times. We do not have the same constitution as men. We are so very different, and our bodies deserve to be understood that way.
Some days are for showing up, creating, moving, connecting, and getting things done. Other days are for slowing down, eating warm nourishing food, taking a walk, handling the quiet tasks, and giving yourself a little grace. Neither is wrong. It is not about using your cycle as an excuse. It is about paying attention to your body instead of constantly pushing against it.
This little guide breaks down each phase of your cycle and how to support it through movement, food, and work. I am not a doctor, and you absolutely do not need to follow this advice, but I am working on my wellness, my moods, my energy, and my overall well being as I navigate perimenopause and menopause as naturally as I can.
Every cycle is a little different, so take what feels helpful and leave the rest. But truly, learning how to work with your body instead of against it feels like such a simple shift. And maybe a tiny superpower.
