Little Shifts
I’ve had a love–hate relationship with social media lately. Somewhere along the way, authenticity got lost and everything became picture perfect. Don’t get me wrong, I love a beautiful scroll filled with gardens, delicious food, and thoughtfully styled clothing, but lately, it all feels a bit redundant. Maybe you feel that way about me too.
Social media has given us an incredible way to connect with people far and wide. It can be inspiring, much like Pinterest was when it first launched. But today, it just feels a little blah.
I guess what I’m really saying is that I’m craving real life again, the messy bits that make people feel more like people. The unseen moments that bring real authenticity, not a filtered version of perfection or beauty, or expectation. Life is beautiful even when it’s messy. It’s hard, but it can also flow with ease.
We all have a choice in how we show up, what we post, who we follow, and what we consume. My hope is that I can offer a bit of authenticity right alongside the pretty gardens, the beautiful bags, and the good wine we pour. Because the truth is, life can be rough. Running a family business is no joke. Working alongside your husband is challenging. Raising a child can make you want to rip your hair out.
In between all the curated posts, there’s real life, and a lot of real shit that goes unsaid. I’m feeling called to start sharing more of those parts, the ones people are often uncomfortable talking about.
I also want to inspire others. To share tools, books, wellness tips, and the little rituals that make life richer. I’m a 46-year-old woman who believes deeply in aging naturally, gracefully, and powerfully. I want to encourage everyone to live fully, creatively, and beautifully, to build a life that feels good, not just one that looks good.
More than anything, I want to help. I want to answer questions, share what I’ve learned, guide others through the messy middle, and help you grow in whatever chapter you’re in.
Maybe this next chapter is about that. More honesty, more heart, and a reminder that real life is the most inspiring thing of all. So shoot me your questions, thoughts or comments on how we can step into a more authentic existence on social media and in our day to day lives. I am here for it!
